ESIS TC8 TECHNICAL MEETING ON
NUMERICAL METHODS

TOPIC AND PROGRAM
The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio - with the support of the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (DiCEM) and Italian Group of Fracture (IGF) - hosts the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS) meeting on Numerical Methods organized by the Technical Commetee TC8.
The meeting topics will cover all aspects of numerical methods for failure prediction of both material volume elements and structures.
Last year, it was decided to organize a special issue for Engineering Fracture Mechanics on Continuum damage models for ductile rupture with papers including a test database, a model for ductile facture and simulations of failure possibly including an application to a large structure.
The deadline for submission is April 2019.
The next meeting will be a good opportunity to discuss papers prepared for the special issue. A round table will be organized to determine future topics for special issues. There will be no parallel sessions and all presentations will be oral.
The participation to the meeting is free of charge.
ORGANIZERS
ESIS TC8 - MUMERICAL METHODS
European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS) Technical Committees work on different aspects of Structural Integrity matters. They are the most important part of the ESIS organisation. Their activities are supported by ESIS. The strength of each TC is indicated by the number and scientific quality of Committee members together with their output in terms of reports, recommendations, procedure documents, Special Technical Publications and the regularity of their technical meetings. Wherever possible the subject area of a TC should involve interdisciplinary aspects.
TC8 - Numerical Methods focuses on all numerical aspects and applications to fracture and damage problems.

To facilitate the organisation of the meeting, registration is required.
Attendance is limited to up to 50 delegates, so early registration is encouraged.
